This page explains how patronseniorliving.com uses cookies and similar browser storage. The short version: we keep it minimal. We don’t run advertising trackers and we don’t sell your data.
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser to remember something between visits. “Similar storage” covers equivalents like localStorage and sessionStorage.
What we use
- Session storage:we remember whether you dismissed the announcement bar at the top of the page so it doesn’t reappear in the same browser session. This goes away when you close the tab.
- Admin sign-in cookie: if you are an authorized Patron admin and sign in at /admin/login, we set an httpOnly session cookie called
patron_admin_session. It’s only set after a successful magic-link sign-in and is used solely to keep you signed in to the admin dashboard. - Strictly necessary infrastructure: Cloudflare may set short-lived cookies (such as
__cf_bm) to protect the site from bots and abuse. These are required for the site to work safely and aren’t used for advertising.
What we don’t use
- No advertising or remarketing cookies.
- No third-party analytics that profile you across sites.
- No social-media tracking pixels.
Your choices
You can clear cookies and browser storage at any time from your browser’s settings. If you block the admin sign-in cookie, you won’t be able to sign in to the admin dashboard — but the rest of the site will keep working.
Changes to this policy
If we add anything new, we’ll update this page and the “last updated” date at the top.
